Who is behind Magic Learning
Joshua Gonzalez operates MAAQ, the development studio responsible for Magic Learning, from Mexico. The app is intended to be available worldwide.
Come and play, no introductions needed
We don’t ask for an account, your name, email or age. We don’t show ads or use tools to track what you do in Magic Learning.
Your progress stays here
Your progress and settings stay in this browser. They won’t appear on another device by themselves, but you can take a backup with you from Settings. You can also restore a backup or reset an area there. Anyone sharing your browser could see your collection.
Your voice is yours
Your answers and recordings aren’t sent anywhere. The microphone only turns on if you choose to record. Your recording is discarded when you close the voice window and isn’t included in your progress backup.
When you connect to the app
When you open or update Magic Learning over the internet, the server delivering the files receives your IP address and the requests for those files. This happens even when you play without an account. Your game answers, progress and recordings stay in your browser.
When you visit another site
The app connects to this site to open and save games. If you choose an outside link, such as Ko-fi to support us, you leave Magic Learning. That site has its own privacy policy.
The services that will deliver the website
The chosen host is Google’s Firebase Hosting, with Cloudflare managing the domain and acting as a proxy for visits. Google states that Hosting uses IP data to detect abuse and analyse usage, retaining it for a few months. Cloudflare processes IP and traffic data. The specific settings and retention periods will be reviewed before publication.
Keep your discoveries safe
Before switching devices, save a backup in Settings. Clearing browser data or playing in private browsing mode could mean losing your progress.
When we share a browser
Each area shares one collection in this browser. If several people play, their progress is combined; it is not an individual record. Backups include that combined progress. Play together and talk about how you solved it. For separate records, use separate browser contexts if you already have them available; there is no need to erase progress or swap backups each turn.
Contact with MAAQ
MAAQ currently has a contact page on Ko-fi, an external service for adults with its own account and messaging requirements. Do not send recordings or children’s personal information there.
